This site is hosted by Everyone's Internet. I chose them because they were cheap and this is just a personal site and doesn't need anything fancy. They do offer a private CGI-bin and unlimited E-mail accounts which is good. For only $10 bucks a month you can't beat it.

I tried to make this site very simple and bandwidth friendly. I write my own HTML using Homesite which I like a lot. For reference, I like HTML Goodies which has all of the technical references that you need, but also a lot of simple little tricks and tips that you might not think of everyday. Another good site ... a little more trendy and offers more artsy design tips is WebMonkey. HTML is very easy to learn ... try it.

I will just list all of the graphics programs that I use. These are the ones that I like. Some are free, some shareware, and some are pretty expensive.

     Adobe Photoshop: Every graphic on this site was created or edited in Photoshop.
     LiveImage: The easiest ImageMap creator, editor I've found. Simple and effective.
     Xara3D: This is a cool slimware program for making 3D animated gifs.
     Microsoft Gif Animator: Very simple gif animator. It does what I need it to do and it's free.
     GifWizard.com: I use it to compress my animated gifs. Better than any standalone app.
     Ulead Smart Saver Pro: Makes slicing images easy. Also generates the HTML table.
     CuteFTP: Not a graphics app - this is my favorite ftp program.

I'm only using one javascript here and a couple of onMouseOver's and onMouseOut's. The main JavaScript makes the new window pop up in all the photoalbums. If you want this effect for your site, see how I did it (and other random tips) here.
